Which bike should I get???

K im looking for a HT mountain bike for Freeride, downhill, some XC, jumps and drops, stuff like that.. basically something for rough offroad use. the thing is im only looking to spend around $500 (i know it wont get me much) I'd like something worth the money.

right now im looking at

Marin B-17 http://www.marinbikes.com/bicycles_2...specs_b17.html (its cheaper than listed price)

Marin northside http://adrenalinebikes.com/store.cfm...20Hard%20Tails

spesh Rockhopper or hardrock

and maybe a Iron horse bike. the Mavericks perhaps?

Im a sucker for good deals

anyways thanks in advance for helping me out. im pretty new to the site and im pissed that i havent found out about it before

Well....you don't want much. If it's gonna take a beating it's not going to be a light weight.

the northside trail or b17 is way better than a hardrock. It's not a real XC geometry and is more geared toward freeride/ urban assault. If you want more XC the rockhopper is good.

edit ... the northside is geared toward xc ... the b17 is the aggressive almost bmx style
