Wiens wins in 6:45:45 new course record. Faster by around 13 minutes. Armstrong 2nd at 6:47:41 besting the old course record by about 11 minutes. Wiens and Armstrong rode together for much of the race to help each other. Armstrong told Wiens to go on last climb as he was cooked. Not trained enough for a 7 hour ride he said.

This part slays me...I really was done with all this goofy talk, but this was just too funny.

He has to be talking about a different race...surely.

I don't think you give the course credit. Don't dis it until you try it.

I know...my view is jaded by the pictures I've seen. I know the course is "hard". I just don't give it any technical credit. I know I couldn't complete it. I can't ride that long
