    Need advice on wheel upgrades...

Recently bought a GT Aggressor but would like to upgrade my wheels to stronger, double walled wheels to take more of a beating when I go offroad. Dont want to spend $1,000 on a set, just want a good, strong set of wheels until I buy a better mountain bike (Kona) It's V-Grip brakes with 21 gears. Also, what kind of hub would I need?
Thank you to anyone that can point me in the right direction, links would be nice.

+1 on the XT hubs with RhynoLite XL rims.....cheap and durable
