Hey Just wondering if anyone knows of any trails in concord or near concord california, cause im moving there the 4th of september. Right now im in Crockett, Ca theres a few trails not much really mainly fire roads and private backcountry roads. If anyone knows of any trails let me know. ALso if anyone wants to go riding sometime let me know.

You'll have better luck on that other forum. There are trails in the Martinez hills but I've never ridden them. Mount Diablo has lots of trails but no bikes allowed.

I'd recommend you cross the bridge and go to Rockville Park in Fairfield (~25 min drive) or you can hit up Skyline a little further in Napa. There are plenty more in the east bay but I can't help you there.

Diablo has a number of fun trails (singletrack vs. all of the fireroads on the mountain), most of which are "closed" to bikes. There are afew that are "open" to bikes though. NOrth Side (aka Devil's Elbow), Mother's, Oyster point, etc.

There are also some "closed" to bikes trails in Black Diamond, in addition to lots of fireroads.

The riding at Rockville or Skyline is much better than the more local, legal, stuff. The drive is worth it.

I knew about the fireroads but I'd rather just take the road bike up. I wasn't aware that there was any singletrack but it sounds limited. I hear there is a local mountain bike group pushing for more trail access. Hopefully they make some progress. Diablo is a Bay Area jewel and it sucks that we can't enjoy the singletrack.

I'll throw Annadel State Park out there too. Probably and extra 30 minute drive though.
