Day Rides from Vegas
I'll be in Vegas during November, I'm trying to put together a one day mtb bike tour, I'll need to rent. Does anyone have any first hand experience with the tour operators in the area?

I was going to send him naked pics of oversized hairy women but now you done ruined the element of surprise. 
Choosing the right trails in Vegas really depends on two things:
1) What kind of riding do you want to do
2) How far will you be from the trail and/or strip
I live on the west side which is closest to Cottonwood/Blue Diamond. Most of the riding in Vegas is done here. Nice and flowy singletrack that also offers some challenging techy sections (The Hurl). Here are two good maps of the area. And yes that does say "NORBA Race Course Loop"
The superD course that I am racing in September consists of Latenight, Black Velvet, and Landmine. Its 8 miles of half xc/half superD goodness that Ive managed to ride nonstop in 43 minutes. The south side of the freeway offers a more scenic route and some good climbing (as in plentiful). I save that area for epic days. The beauty of the area is that you can park on either side of the freeway and access either side simply by riding under the freeway.
About a 5-10 minute drive north of Cottonwood is a little gem called Cowboy Trails. These trails are located right across from the famous Red Rock area which appeals to many tourists. Cowboy Trails is a ton of fun but definitely not for beginners. There is a ton of climbing there, but there is also a sweet DH trail called the BoneShaker. Occassionally you will run into horseback riders (hence the name) but its generally not a problem. I havent been to Cowboy Trails in a long time but I get the jonesing everytime I talk about it. If you manage to make it to the top of the overlook there, you can see clearly all the way over to Lake Mead which is located in Boulder City. Very aesthetically rewarding.
On the other side of town (actually in Boulder City) you will find Bootleg Canyon. Many many many riders travel from far away lands just to get a taste of this place. Its like going to Disneyworld but for mtb's. There is a ton of trails out there and they range from noobie XC courses to hardcore gnar-bot DH courses! The riding at Bootleg Canyon is a bit more aggressive than Cottonwood. The only problem with going to BC is that it is further from the strip than CW is (about a 40 minute drive).
With the trail info out of the way, here are some sites to check out that offer tours, rentals, etc. Each place carries different brands so just give them a call or visit their website if you are looking for something in particular.

Ive never dealt with any of the tours per se, but I did buy my first bike from McGhies back in 03. They recently expaned to a much bigger site which must account for something. I always see the Las Vegas Cyclery/Escape Adventures van when Im at CW, and they would probably be your best bet unless you go to BC which is pretty much dominated by All Mountain Cyclery.
And of course there is always "my peepz" the Las Vegas Mountain BIke Group. This group is amazing and they always have something planned for either side of town. They are a very friendly group that always welcomes new faces.
