Roll Call - Where and what are YOU riding this weekend? - Now the followups

For myself, it's going to be a very mixed bag that is going to run the gamut.

Today is our anniversary, and my wife and I have tomorrow off; so tomorrow will be spent on pavement-friendly bikes doing parts of the Centennial Trail between Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, ID that we have not yet ridden. If played correctly, this should put us in Cd'A about the right time for fish-n-chips and crafted local brews.

Sat/Sun/Mon we are staying at Silver Mountain, ID. At least one day, no doubt, will be the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes with my better half - - a pleasant rails-to-trails jaunt that winds along the river for as much of its 75 miles as one cares to go. We'll have lift passes too, so no doubt some time will be the obligatory hardtails-on-the-green-trails thing. But the piece d'resistance, of course, will be thrashing the Blindside on the blacks and double-blacks of the mountain. Going to make for a very well-rounded weekend.

Nice D! I've got nothing that nice but will be riding the Perry lake trails Sat, the most techniical trail around here. A nice road bike ride sunday with a great group of people that I only see a few times a year. (which is the only reason I keep a road bike around) Lunch at a small town cafe, that sit's right on the old Sante Fe trail, and that makes excellent BBQ.
Forgot the rides, I will be riding my 06 Epic at Perry, and an 06 Blah blah on the road sunday.

On Saturday morning I'll be taking my daughters to their Tae Kwon Do class and will be hauling them on my Big Dummy. The ride there is pleasant as it goes through some gravel trails through some nice woods.

On Sunday I have to try to squeeze something local (in the city) as I have to be at a party in downtown for noon. I was thinking of taking my XC bike to explore some trails through some wooded lots that is only about 10km from me. I heard that there's a good 10-15km worth of trails but that there are occasionally some streets to cross.

I just finished the build on the Gambler and this sounds very tempting but I think I will stay local

Have a great Anniversary.

I'm driving up to the beeeyootifull finger lakes region of new york state. Not taking a mtb but will definitely spend some time visiting the trails of my youth on a buddy's KTM 525EXC.

If I can pry myself away from working on my house, I may actually take the road bike for a spin.. if not, just some local trails.

Sadly, our last planned mtn biking weekend of the summer,in Oakridge Oregon, was cancelled due to my family coming to visit, and my wife moving her office.

Saturday I will be riding lovely new Biochem and Molecular Cell texts that were delivered just yesterday. I will not be providing a ride report.

Why oh why did I think that going back to school was a good idea?

Sunday, on the other hand, I have been volunteered to move horse jumps around all day at a small local show where my girlfriend boards her horse.

Yay me.

With any luck I'll be at my place with some young lady riding me. After I show her the door, I plan on taking the road bike out for some hill climbing. Seeing as I have the next two weeks off, I'll try to fit some trail time in early next week.

You shame us. That's way too much road riding and not nearly enough mountain biking.

Not your first choice of activities I'm sure but shows of support are a two-way street when it comes to SOs for sure. Good luck.

NC here, and I plan on riding as long as I can stand it on Saturday, anywhere... We've had the rain from Fay this past week, so I haven't even been able to commute.

It's driving me crazy, so I'm going to get out and hopefully get muddy as heck on Saturday.

Friday afternoon: ride with the wifey (well, she'll be running) at the local default trail. We go our own ways and meet back up at the car. Works well.

Saturday: Plattekill. Lifts. Armor. Big bikes

Sunday: not sure yet. Probably pedal over to the default trails and spin there a bit before work that night.

Then I still have Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu that I'll be able to ride.

Hmm. . . After school on Fri. I think I'll hit the mini-DH course in the woods by my house. On Sat. I'll go ride the trails if I can find one of my friends to drive me (I'm a mooch). Sat. night is racing night. I think well do some legal after dark street racing (sounds dumb, but it's fun). It's a 3 day weekend, so I dont know beyond that.

Panorama Resort near Invermere, BC. Here: https://www.panoramaresort.com/index.htm

It'll be the first time DH riding since I broke my scaphoid at a race in Kamloops in May.

But we're just going for the day, I'll spend the rest of the weekend doing renos and driving the new car.

Im spending all three days practicing for this:

https://www.cactuscuplasvegas.com/site/

The Super D
Saturday, September 20, 2008
Start Time: Morning
Speed, skill and power reign on the Super D’s long downhill course. Massive sandstone cliffs tower over the twisty trails of the Cottonwood Valley at the base of the Spring Mountains in the Red Rock National Conservation Area, just 10 minutes west of Mountain’s Edge on Blue Diamond Highway (Hwy 160).

Riders start by category from the new Late Night parking lot, recently paved and upgraded. Racers will experience the freedom of the wild horses that tramped these trails years ago, as they wind on the single-track through picturesque Joshua trees, descending about 8 miles and 1,000 feet.

The finish is the desert oasis of Blue Diamond; a small village nestled among cottonwood trees in the Red Rock area. A few wild burros may join in on the BBQ and party at the finish.
Course Distance: All categories 8 miles

Start: Late Night parking lot (Located Southwest of Las Vegas off SR160 in an area called Cottonwood Valley. Go West on SR160 (Blue Diamond RD.) from I-15, continue west past the SR160 and SR159 junction for about 5 miles.)

I didn't get to do it this year because of my wrist but my buddies did and said it is indeed a true epic trail.

No. 32. Seems only yesterday I spied that lanky, 5'-11" lass across the dance floor at a campus mixer.

Cripes! Panorama? Hadn't heard of it - - and just up the road from Fairmont? Now I have a reason to get excited about Fairmont. We can trade into there or purchase just about any time but I didn't give it a lot of thought because I didn't know if there' be much riding up there. Thought it was just golf-duffer land. Dang!

I really need to get up to BC more. Missed a couple trips this year (bad timing) with some of the young guys at the LBS to Rossland and Nelson.

Is that, like, going along with them with your bike, but pushing it along side and trying to keep up?

I think it involves banjos and "squeal-like-a-pig" role-playing.

The riding in Nelson is awsome - been there several times. Worth the trip.
It'll be the first time to BC for my 13 yo son - quite the rider for 13, but I'm sure the 7 summits trail will school him a bit.
