Ferrari Mountain Bikes?
Hi everyone,
I'm new to mountain biking and I have a 2009 Giant Yukon (hard-tail), which (imho) seems to be a nice bike for a newbie like me.
I looked at various bikes and spoke with quite a few people to get advice in the buying process. While doing this, I noticed that Sam's Club sells Ferrari mountain bikes online. When did this happen? Is this a bike that's designed and built by Ferrari or is it just using the Ferrari brand equity for marketing? I also thought that bike manufacturers discouraged selling online to protect their distributors(??). Anyway, the Ferraris are all a bit pricey, and I'd like to know if these are considered good bikes. Does anyone on here own one?
Here's the URL for the hard-tail. They also have dual susp.
https://www.samsclub.com/shopping/nav.../19/08_Ferrari
Any insight would be aprpeciated. Thanks!

Never heard of 'em. The product description contains virtually no useful information, it was written by someone who doesn't know English very well and/or doesn't know anything about mountain bikes. I would expect very poor support should one need any help with it. Don't bother. Keep the Yukon, a decent bike.

OK. Was curious about this brand and did some quick web search (OP, you could have done this yourself).
Here the 'Ferrari Store': https://www.ferraristore.com/e-shop.d...lect_language/
It also looks like Sears has them (!!!!). It appears that these bikes are very overpriced for what they are, ie. Suntour forks and Shimano Deore level components.
Sorry, that's enough web searching for me. Maybe some else cares to pick up the ball from here.

Colnago has been building bikes in conjunction with Ferrari for decades. Ferrari is one of the worlds leading carbon fiber manufacturing companies. That being said, I'm not sure how much input they have or if they actualy manufacture the carbon tubes.

Kenhill3, thanks for the clarification - I checked out the Ferrari Store for the fun of it.

^^ But how can you argue with specs like this? - - "Hydraulic disc brake - very soft and powerful"

Personally, I'm not buying anything with carbon fiber involved from Sam's Club.
Not something that I need to trust won't hurt me, that is.

If you like the Yukon, keep it. It mostly matters how YOU like it.
But i'd go for the 4-wheeled Ferrari still!!
=P =D!!

I've seen the FS mtb and was fairly unimpressed. "Lipstick on a Trek OCLV" seems to about cover it.

I have never heard of this Ferrari car that you speak of. Sounds like some Ital-garbage to me.
