HELP!! Queens NYC BIKE GOT STOLEN!!!

I got my 2007 diamondback response sport stolen earlier today on bell blvd in the Bayside area. I guess my lock wasn't sufficient and someone just cut it. I realize now that I should have invested in a better lock, but it's too late. What should I do now? Does anyone have any pointers as to what I should do? I am going to report it to the police in the morning. Also, can someone recommend a lock for me to buy in the future?

Welcome, good luck with getting your bike back. There are many old threads on both these subjects (theft recovery and lock choice).

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!
