Redline 29er mono 9 - 2007 or 2008?
 

I tried a mono 9 yesterday at my LBS - really liked it.

I've been trying to compare prices and look up reviews and all that. Is it true that the "mono 9" is still a 2007 model, and from 2008 onwards it's referred to as the d460? The frame has "mono 9" on it.

If so, any major differences between the 2? I'd like to support the LBS, but if it's a 2007 model and they're asking 899 for it, wouldn't that be a bit overpriced for an older model? They mentioned having trouble moving it due to the large size.

I did find a review that seems to confirm that the mono 9 is a 2007 model - any input on the price?

I think the Mono9 had slightly better specs but I may be mistaken.

I bought a 2008 model in Nov. 2007 and it was a D460. It says Mono 9 on the frame. I think the 2009 says D460 on the frame. I am extremely happy with the bike and have had no problems. I paid $890 for it and recently saw one at a XC race being blown out for $650.
