Shifting Gears
Hey everyone, I have a '99 GT Saddleback and the gears are really slow to switch, is there a way to speed it up? Is it just wear and tear? Thanks.

Wear and tear. I assume by your sentence they are original? If so then they are due for replacement. I actually replace my drive train every year or so unless a breakage occurs (which has happened every year 
)

alright, I think i should replace both, I broke the bigger gears by accident.. lol i think. It's my brothers bike so I think I should fix it pretty soon. About how much does it cost?

Can't see your bike. But in general if you replace one part you should replace them all...you also have to find out how many gears you have and IF you can find parts to fit. You might be 7 speed or less which might take some searching to find parts.

Still can't see the pic. Try putting it on pinkbike. I don't know what I can't see it. I took my firewall down just in case that was causing it.

I think it is 7 speed. Which means, if I remember right, that the space between the rear dropouts is too narrow to fit and 8 or 9 speed drive train. I think you are going to have to go to a shop to figure something out (they can sometimes expand the distance) or try and find you some drive train components.
