New 2005 shimano gruppo

here's a sneek-preview photo of a new groupset by Shimano called HONE, intended for use on 2005 trials bikes. The rear mech is a completely new design; the rest, XTR trickle down technology.

You mean trials or trails? Sure don't look like trials chainrings or rear derailer to me. Nice though.

It's trails. The HOPE line is not quite as beefy as the Saint, but moreso than the Deore Line.

So is this a line to be put on "trail-bikes" such as the Kona Dawg, Specialized Enduro, etc?

Any idea on the pricing? Around what current line is it priced, and what of the weight/strength differences?

Velo news (or was it cycling news.........well, one of the two) said that the pricing will be about the same as LX.
