Manitou Black 03 vs. 04?

Can someone give me a quick run-down of the differences between last year's Blacks and this year's? I'm looking at the 03 elite 80/100mm vs. the 04 elite 100mm. I know that the adjustment knobs are all metal now (compared to last year's plastic). Is that pretty much the only difference? If I can get the 03 elite for 100 buck less, that's a pretty good deal, no?

Thanks! I'm replacing a 2001 Mars Elite - anyone want it? :-)

I wouldn't waste a 100 bucks on metal knobs...I've got an 03' (on a closeout, prob. like you're talkin' about) and haven't had any problems...even after swapping springs...

Now if there are some performance differences (I've got NO complaints, tho), then maybe consider the '04...otherwise buy the bargain..

Depends on the model. The Black Super SPV 80 utilizes the new Stable Platform Valve. The others are basically the same. Aftermarket systems such as lockout are available it just depends on your desired initial setup.
