K2's new Lithium, anyone ridden one?
I was cruising K2's website and came across their new Lithium. Great spec, nice looking frame, nice non-welded gusset. Don't know MSRP, but I'm sure it's decent.
Anyone have any experience with this bike? No, I'm not looking at buying one, just curious!

A gusset is a piece of metal usually welded at a junction of two (or more) tubes that acts are reinforcing. You see a lot near the headtube, downtube junction.
With the new hydroforming technology, frame manufacturers are "widening" or "beefy" up the tube in that area without resorting to welding an additional piece of metal to the outside of the tube.
I'll try to find an example of a gussetted frame.

This shows a gussett at the top tube/down tube/head tube intersection.
