Sag question
I am adjusting my RP2 suspension for the first time since owning the bike and the according to my Trek owners manual the sag should be 25%, 100 PSI for someone of my weight (155). However, when do an o-ring check with 100 PSI my sag is like 50%. Should I trust the o-ring sag test or the PSI measurement?

well sag is kinda personal preferance, like if you have less sag its more effecient but you won't absorb the little stuff as well and your wheel doesn't have further to extent to keep your wheel on the ground (important around turns)
but i'd generally trust the oring if your doing it right, i'm also about 155lbs and my rush's rp2 is around 100psi i think and its like 20% sag. be sure that when you do the sag check the oring is pushed all the way toward teh shock and when you sit on the bike you don't bob down, if you sit down hard you will compress the shock more than just sitting would, and when you get off the bike don't do it to fast or you will push down on the shock.
You could also throw the shock pump in ur pack for the first ride and play with diff pressures until you find what you like.
since its an rp3 you don't wanna have the sag super stiff cause you can just flick the propedal switch to stiffen it up

Sheesh. Why have I been thinking all this time that such a thing as an RP3 followed the RP2?

o-ring test. use your own personal preference, too. just one of those times you gotta ask yourself if you like it hard or soft.

Set it up using the O-ring and then adjust it to suit your preference after you've ridden a bit. Still, 20% or so on the O-ring is pretty standard.
