Can anyone help me out here?
I'm in MA right now trying to find good mountain biking trails. Not BS through a state park on a semi paved road, etc etc. Not some BS site that makes you pay money to see where trails are.
Anyone have any advice? A good resource?

Lynn would be doable, hopefully within that radius, anywhere close to the north shore would be greatr

Umm, there is a ***** ton of good riding around you. From Boston up to Goucester is loaded with stuff. Foxboro down south, Wompatuck down south. Otis on the Cape. Harold Parker SP rocks. Lynn Woods, Middlesex Fells, Vietnam down south... Dogtown up north is good. Have heard good stuff about Bruce and Tom's, but it wasn't going when I lived there, so no personal experience. Heading up the coast into NH and Maine will get you a ton of spots, but stuff that is about done with rideability this time of year.
www.ragemtb.com to hook up with other riders. www.mtbr.com has some good trail reviews and a local forum.
A lot depends on your ability or desire to get to spots by car. If you're limited to in town or using BTA, the Lynn and the Fells are good, as well as Blue Hills to the south. Boston also has endless very cool opportunites and spots for cool urban stuff. Used to be some kick ass dirt jumps in the Fens, but I think they got dozed a few years back - I'm not so up on the DJ scene.

Rode Blue Hills today. Nice mix of single & doubletrack, rocks, roots, and vertical.

Though nowhere near complete, here is a site I am putting together with some friends. It has very accurate info and some cool features. Here is a page with MA trails. Check it out and let me know what you think.

If I had a GPS I'd contribute... but I do have a few NH area maps. I can send them to you if you want. (Bear Brook, Londonderry Musquash, FOMBA, etc).

you need to hook up with some of the local groups mentioned. there is a lot of trail that you won't find mention of online, and a lot of trail in places like dogtown that you won't find (or that can be very difficult to find) without some local guiding.

crankfire.com has a listing of CT riding spots. I think it is expanding to surrounding states.

crankfire.com has mostly CT with a few other areas. bikerag.com for sure has more MA content.
To the OP: I heartily suggest checking them out, and the ragemtb.com site I linked earlier. Very Boston and MA centric.

Still kicking.
I can see if I can get a member at ridemonkey, named Splat to give you a tour of 'Nam and Lynn. If it works out though, don't crash.

Man, I've been wanting to hook up with him/those guys for a better tour for a while now. Everytime they've got some group thing going, it hasn't worked with my schedule. Plus, it's a long drive for a day ride. Two of my brothers-in-law are in Boston - figure I'll go for a couple days in the spring for a ride tour, and crash on their couch.
I haven't ridden in Lynn since last living up by there, about seven years back.

They've done some cool stuff! My tour was a bit on the short side, so I'm itching to get back for a longer/all day type of ride.

Nice web page but the white text on light gray buttons across the top are very hard to read. Can you darken the color up (either background or font)?

Thanks for the interest. We are looking for people with GPS to help us ad more trails. If anyone has one and wants to get involved, please let me know. We are trying to work out swag for assistance if anyone is interested.
