I'be got a few minutes so....new bike pron!!!

Got it a few months ago but haven't put up a pic so...

The bike is great. I'm used to the Prophet and as much as I love that bike this thing is much more fun to ride on singletrack. It gives up BB clearance but feels much more planted on the trail. My average speed has gone up nicely. Basically, I'm having a blast!

Totally unrelated but pics of the dog on the same ride.

Pics of the dog freaked out by the fact that he can see the water below the bridge. This is the second time across the bridge. The first time he laid down a couple of times. I sure know how to pick'em!

I have that same bike but the newer version. When I posted pictures I was told that # 1 - specialized sucks and # 2 - i was lying about the weight. So my question would be....how much does yours weigh ?

btw - i dropped significant time off my routes on this bike.

Specialized sucks almost as much as weight wieners.

Bike weight was 25.25lbs. It's probably a bit less now because I've gone to light tubes so no sealant in the tires and it has a hollow pin chain. Probably closer to 25lbs even but I haven't weighed it again. Total guess here but I'm thinking it's about 5-6 lighter than my Prophet. I know that it feels totally different.

BTW...my understanding of the definition of "weight weiner" is someone obsessed with weight reduction even at the expense of longevity/reliability. I would rather have a heavier bike and ride home at the end of the day. Still, there is nothing wrong with making some smart choices to reduce the weight of a bike. To each his own.

It's a plural of "weight weenie", and I'd say that carbon Specialized S-works bikes suck really hard.

Well, sub-25lb Specialized bikes really suck. The OP's is bordering on acceptable to me.

No, you have the epic. His stumpjumper weighs more in part because it has more travel.

I love him to death. He'll do 15 miles with me in the morning, go home and take a nap, and then he's ready to go to the dog park for a couple hours in the evening. The bike is the only way I can even come close to keeping up with him. I wish I had half his energy.
