Fuji Tahoe 1998
Over the weekend I bought a very clean, as original, 1998 Fuji Tahoe. Not my choice of machine but one heck better than a nasty cheepie from you-know-where! Is it a mountain bike? off road bike? What is the nearest equivalent (today) in the Fuji line of bikes? The seller called it All Terrain? BTW it has a 3 ring chainwheel and 7 drs at the back. No pictures because I lost the images from My Pictures!

Old school ridged hardtail mountain bike is what it is.

If its as clean as you say take care of it and have fun with it. Was a decent bike back in the day and YES!!!! way better than any Wally World Mongoose of today.

Fuji Tahoe 1998
jjbod1: Thank You! Just the link that I was looking for but could not easily locate (and I am a self-styled Google expert ...) The seller was a really honest Florida senior who had the bike for 10 years, did not use it! but took it down off the garage wall (every month) and inflated the tires!

Looks to be a Moongoose. From the pic, and its really hard to tell, it looks like a there is a Shimano Tourney Rear derailleur, they have red cogs. The cheapest of the cheap. If thats the case, yes, more than likely Wally World Crap. But, if she is just going to use it to ride a couple miles a day or a few miles a week, if she can get a really good deal on it. Then It may be OK. Just depends on the usage.

jjbod1 .... Yup, a customer service guy at Mongoose confirms it's from them! Actually replied to my e-mail which was a pleasant surprise .... Not quite sure how I got into these machines since my interest is firmly bedded in 1980's era Road Bikes!

Nothing wrong with exploring other things. I myself am a avid Mtn biker. Race the newest of the new bikes, but I still have and ride the old school MTN bikes also. Its so funny to see the looks and hear comments from other riders, when you bring out a 10 year old mountain bike, that to them is way outdated and you blow past them like there standing still.
