19cm steerer tube, 15cm head tube?

I recently got a sweet deal on a Marzocchi Dirt Jumper 3 fork, took it home and measured the steerer tube. It is 19cm, while the headtube on my frame is 15cm. After installing a headset, will I still be able to fit a stem on this beast?
Thanks!

Standard 1⅛" or onepointfive?

old school 1" headset most likely, adheadset 1 1/8" most likely not

It's 1 1/8" threadless. I guess it all depends on the stack height of my stem too. I hope I'm not screwed.

Your options are slim and you may spend more than you saved getting around it, if it winds up being possible at all.

Thinnest solution I can think of is a Sunline direct-mount stem for the 888, which actually has a single pinch-bolt for the steerer - - and a stack height of only 14mm - - in combination with an Azonic Head-Lock thru-bolt setup - - but I am in no way recommending this.

Your average stem is 35-40mm high on the steerer, and the HS stack height is what, 30mm? Your steerer tube is ~1" too short. The cheapest way to fix this problem is to get a steerer extension. You might be able to get something like this to work, but I can't say I'd want to run one on my bike.

Personally, I would sell the fork to somebody with a shorter head tube and get something that will actually work for you...

Yea I'm leaning toward just selling it. Thank you all for the great responses!
