so i think im going to sell my Kona Scrap and get a Gary Fisher Marlin...the thing is im not sure what is a good price for the Kona ...when i bought it it cost me almost $800, and then i up graded the front fork to a bomber...it has vbrakes...i mean this has been a great bike, but im just switching gears a little,(nice pun) and going into more of a mountain/ singltrack bike...anybody have any input...

Not what I thought the thread was about. I thought you were selling your Kona to buy a girlfriend.

Are your brakes working? In the 3rd pic the brake cables are hanging loosely at an odd angle coming out of the brake levers. For a V-brake bike I'm not sure you can go much higher than $550, but that's just my opinion...

I just bought a GF piranha. In my opinion, it really jumps out ahead of the marlin. You said you spent $800 on the Kona, why sell that to buy a "cheaper" bike? Find a year old Piranha or Tassajara. You won't regret it.

Sometimes you come out pretty good when you rent one for a while.

You can get a girlfriend by the hour on craigslist but I'd keep the Kona. Much cheaper than keeping a girl. Of course you could buy a Gary Fisher.

If you do the Gary then just remember the Kona won't give you any diseases.

It seems a bit odd that you are selling this bike to get a lower grade of bike. I had a Marlin and sold it a few years ago to buy a Kona. It's all personal preference, but I think you should go for a better Fisher model than the Marlin. Just offering my opinion.

you'd be lucky to get 300-400 for that.

you'd maybe be better off to keep it and turn it into what you want.

why don't you like the scrap?
