Here is a link to some trails just outside the city in Fountain Hills. There are a bunch of additional Phoenix area trails on Crank Collective. Hope this helps.

There's plenty of mountain biking in the Phoenix area, too hot for my tastes aside from the dead of winter, but I don't live there, just visit once in a while. You might try looking at the Arizona forum on mtbr for a local hookup, or think about attending their spring fling ride to meet a bunch of locals at https://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.ph...highlight=azsf. Pick up a copy of Cosmic Ray's book for some ideas on rides throughout Arizona. I've really enjoyed riding in the Tucson, Prescott, Sedona and Flagstaff areas (as well as Phoenix when it's not hot). Enjoy the summer!
