Marzocchi and Suntour
I called Marz today for kicks and asked them if the R cartridge was made by Suntour.
The dude said "No, it's made by Marzocchi in the same building as Suntour, but it is not made by Suntour."
Take that for what it's worth to ya.

An interesting article on the 888, with special attention to the 2nd paragraph:

Oh, and a bill of lading. Yeah, they get just a bit from SR Suntour - - like 5,800 lb. net containers.
. . . and from bike-eu.com, Jan. 9 this year:

Side note (Yellowjeep, pay attention)
The reason I called them was to check on the status of my frok. I felt I wasn't getting full travel after a while, so they said they'd modify the R-cartridge to assure a full 140mm. I asked them to stretch it out to 160mm while they had it apart, and they said "No problem". Quick turn around. I mailed it last week, and it should be here today or tomorrow. (I sent it "coach")
We'll see. It doesn't change my feeling about it being a heck'uv'a frok for $220. Still smooth as buttah and stiffer'n heck!
We'll see.
