This a good deal??
Have a chance to buy a '08 fisher hifi with little use for 700. Its the base hifi which came in matte silver. Just wondering if this is a fair price.
Thanks in advance. This is actual pic of bike.

For a FS bike its a sweet deal,BUT,the Hifi's have been know to have frame problems. They can break in the rear. My bro in law busted 2 of them and I have read of many others also doing the same. But I have also talked tp others that own them and love them. So all I can say is user beware.

I also read about the frame issues but from what i saw this was mainly on the XL size frames. Of course this may not be true and it may impact all sizes.
Thank you

10' to flat is just silly, man. Who in their right mind would even wanna do that. I don't like drops to flat at all, but 10'??!
Then...who in their right mind would actually admit the 10' to flat on a long legged XC bike like a HiFi? That's just saying: "Dear Gary, I love your bike, it's very fast and very, very light. Thank you for making it 25lbs, but I broke mine in half trying to ride the North Shore on it. Can you send me another one please? And this new one that you send me...could you make it out of carbon fiber so it's only 23lbs and can handle 15' to flat? Thanks Gary."

Thanks guys. I dont plan on doing any 10 foot drops to flat. Actually planning on using it a lot on WV trails where we have a ski house. Really nice XC trails there. Should be a lot of fun.
