Riding alone...

When Y'all ride alone, do you carry a cell phone or anything? I was riding the other day, before they packed my bike, and I left my wallet and cell phone in my truck.

Anyways,
I was flying 'round this trail, aint been out in awhile, when I hit this jump thing or w/e going around 15-20 mph. It was a lot steeper than I thought, and it basically "bucked" me off. I landed 'bout 6 feet away on my front wheel, and then I ended up 25 feet (yes I went back a measured) away.
The handle bars had jabbed my right under my last rib, and if I would'f landed 'bout a foot to the left I woulda snapped my neck off a tree.

Anyone else ride alone and un connected like this?

I guess what I'm tryin' to say is you shouldn't ride alone without any form of Identification or communication, If I would have landed any other way, I'd probably not be talkin' to Y'all.

This happened last Wednesday, and I'm still feeling my left side, up underneath the ribs and my neck is still stiff.

Always, atleast tell someone where you'll be, and give them a time frame, so if you do have... an accedent someone will know where/when to come looking for you.

I'd hate to see a fellow biker get taken.

I always ride with a cell phone. Just in case I need to call 9-1-1, but its best to ride with someone.

Chelboed, that's what the S&W scandium-frame revolvers are for

Seriously though at least carry a cell phone. I usually ride with enough stuff to satisfy an entire troop of boy scouts. (Map and Compass? Check. Phone? Check. Matches? Check. Flashlight? Check. Etc, Etc)
Now that I'm back in Houston I should really start leaving most of that stuff at home.
