I need advice for tires Soon!

Hey I have a trek 4300 with the stock tires which are fine on the road but as soon as it gets to something softer than road it starts to slippy . I would prefer bontrager since my store near me have them for cheaper then on line! So i need an advice soon since i am planning to get them really soon. I want something which is seriously good in off road. Here is there website.

what do you want a reply about. It sounds like you've made up your mind.

are you riding through mud?
Big knobby tires like those are meant for riding in mud,(as the name suggests) and will tend to slide out in rocky/hard packed areas.
I also imagine there will be rolling resistance.
I don't know how they would handle on the turns/climbs either.

anyone else?

look at the Jones' or the Big Kahunas..
they might offer better grip on a more broad range of surfaces.

Think All terrain tire- Jack of all trades, master of none.

then dont go for a Mud tire.
Thats like putting Super Swampers on your truck to drive the Interstate.
I hear good things about the Jones series.
look into those.

Remember you can mix tires for different front/rear combos.

Well the main reason why i am planning to go for this one is because of the review on bikeradar ant the comments :https://www.bikeradar.com/gear/catego...URCE=BRGENGEAR
But the Jones didn't get such a good review : https://www.bikeradar.com/gear/catego...-tlr-225-16724
Or the big eral BUT i donth think that my bike can take 2.5's https://www.bikeradar.com/gear/catego...-earl-25-10414
Its also would be nice to get the Jones acx or the mud x because they are the onlly ones they have all time ( you need to special order them which takes a while)

It's an old combo, but the tires are fairly cheap. I went from my stock Kendas to a set of Panaracer Dart (front) and Smoke (rear) and I'm very happy. They're much lighter than my wire bead old ones and they're a great combination for all around riding, though I've only had them a few days. The Dart has fewer knobs on the sides so you get a nice amount of turning and control, and the rears have wider knobs to bite into loose or tall materials.

They're cheap (got my set for about $40), they're light, they're easy to install, and at 2.1 inches wide, they won't slow you down on roads or hard trails much.

That all being said, I don't know much about what's out there and I haven't ridden many tires.
