Fenders for Cannondale F7 (2009)
Just bought new F7, 2009 model. I want to put fenders on the bike. I have zero experience with bike fenders. Any suggestions such as brand, model, or how they even connect to the bike?
I'll also take suggestions for a rear rack for the bike. I bought the bike at REI if that makes a difference.

Go with either the Topeak Explorer Tubular Rack Disc or Planet Bike disc compatible racks. I have seen the Delta rack. It was like a clip on weenie compared to the Topeak that I have.
Another selling point to the Topeak rack... it is compatible with their MTX trunks. No need to velcro the bag to the rack.
As for the front, your going to have better luck with the "normal" suspension fork. Those of us with headshocks or lefty forks have to make some adaptors. My L.B.S still has some of those "THE" front fenders. They use a star nut in the bottom of the steerer tube to keep the brace and plastic fendors in place. You might look in the used parts bins, or ask if your LBS has any in the back collecting dust.

I like the Topeak Defender front fender. It should work with your fork.
SKS makes a simlar fender that mounts the same way (expansion plug in
the bottom of your fork's steerer tube).
SpiderMike's recomendations on R Rack I agree with.
Install the rack first before R Fender. The rack itself acts as a pretty
good fender. If you want more coverage, go from there. If you go with a
seatpost-mounted R Rack, you often can't fit both that and a seatpost-
mounted rear fender on at the same time unless you've got alot of
seatpost showing.
Congrats on your new bike.
Have Fun.

Finally took a picture of my F3 with Topeak child carrier/MTX disc rack. 55lb weight limit.
