180 or 200 discs?

I'm thinking of going for Hope mono m4 front brakes. I'm about 180 lbs and while I'm no downhiller there are times i need good brakes. Anyone got any experience of the m4s? I don't want to over brake the bike and spend practice superman impersionations. I believe the M4 has maybe a little more modulation than the mono as well as more ultimate stopping power.

I have 8" F&R rotors on my Hayes HFX-9's and love them. More stopping power than the 6" IMO, plus they don't get as hot on long DH's....
