Allegrippis Trails

Tomorrow is the grand openning of the Allegrippis Trails at Raystown Lake in central Pa. Anybody going? Unfortunately, due to bad timing and poor scheduling I will be missing it. It's only a 40 minute drive but I've got the pleasure of working. I talked to a couple of the guys that were involved in the building of the trails, I guess they aren't overly technical but if you wanted to pump the hills and get some speed you can make for a rather hazardous tree-hugging experience if you happen to miss a turn. But I guess they're making a big deal about it, Cannondale, Trek, Scott, IMBA and others will have booths set up, demo bikes and all that fun stuff. If anybody goes, please post some pics.

Sounds cool. Bit of a run, from where I'm at, though.

Yes! Actually I will be there! My boss thought it a good idea for one of us to be there and try to get a little exposure of our bikes and services. I'll be getting there a little late but I couldn't be happier.

Yes please give details,
I have family in PA, and I usually bring my bike with me (.. of course this was when I was in the states) but in the Allegheny County area, there isn't many exciting places to ride.

I'm about to leave to head there now. Its kind of a hike, like 2 1/2 hours or so, but oh well. No group tho, everyone else had to work or whatever. i've ridden up near raystown before. Doesn't drain very well, so if they had rain like I did last night, its gonna be a sloppy mess. And riding on anything muddy isn't good, especially something this new.

I'd be more than happy to give a detailed report as soon as I get back.

And yeah, we got a little rain last night, probably a little more today. Could be a little sloppy.

Now go ride! And don't forget to pick some flowers for your mom while you're out there!

OK. I promised a review of the new trails. I'm not going to give it yet. I rode for about 2 hours on Saturday and barely rode a quarter of the trails.

I will say this though. Those trails are awesome, very well done. Go ride them.

Give me about a week or so. That should give me enough time to get back there and ride some more.
