This is some gnarly singletrack in Greenbush Wisconsin. nothing here is flat, the glaciers carved the kettle moraine state forest into one of the rockiest and hilliest areas in the Midwest. these trails are some of the best in the state and perfectly legal to ride on. in a couple weeks or so this will all be green lush forest.

this was from my 4th ride of the season.

Schweet. Not what I would call 'gnarly', but looks like some great riding. Thanks.

yeah i know its not the gnarliest trail. my camera fails to capture depth. half the time one side of the trail has a steep drop into a bunch of trees since it mostly follows glacial ridges through the forest.

Wow. That's some well manicured, hyper-speed, super buffed out trail. After riding in northern Arizona for so long, it would be hard to keep from daydreaming while riding that (sounds nice). The woods look awesome, too! Do they fill out and get green in the summertime? My g/f and I have been messing around with the idea of moving up there somewhere (wisconsin, minnesota, ???)... but there must be riding nearby! Pretty much the only thing keeping us on the mountain right now.

by late may or early june it will be hot, humid, and green. the forest is still recovering from a harsh winter. normally there's more green in may or late april than there is now.

the loop from the pictures is 5 miles long, there are 2 other loops that are less than 2 miles long.

also besides the single track there are cross country ski trails that are open to bikes in the summer. theres like 5 loops and the longest is 7 miles.

if you rode all the trails it would be near 25-30 miles.
