Don't ya hate it when....

You go on an overnight biking trip and you leave the quick releases at the campground. Plus no bike shops are open on Sunday so you can't go riding today.

What stupid stuff have you done?

...You go to a park that is 50 miles away and leave your seat/seatpost in the parking lot. Then it rains like hell that night. Luckily some person found the seat and dropped it off at the office. I had 24 hours to pick it up or else they would trash it. I got it the next day, but the staple things holding the leather onto the seat all rusted and had to be replaced.

Went to a race 2.5 hrs away, had to get up at 5:30 a.m. Left my shoes with clipless cleats at home!

Was in a hurry and lubed my chain and didn't notice some lube had dripped onto the braking surface of the rim!

Forgot my Camelback bladder. During Summer in FL!

Didn't properly tighten my front quick release!

Locked the bikes up only to realize I left the keychain at home!

Left the keychain to my lock on my bumper and drove off. Luckily I found them, but had to drive ALL the way back to the trail.

I've done A LOT of stupid things over the years!

On more than one occasion I have forgotten to tighten the brakes back up on my road bike after putting wheels back on. It is nice to grab the brakes at 20+ and have the pads just barely touch.

I have forgotten my lock on a few occasions. I usually notice just before I get to my destination.

I also once put my Ulock around my bike, but didnt actually put it through the rack. Luckily the bike was there a few hours later when I came out.

had a nasty wreck where i bailed and ended up bending the seatpost rails and loosening the whole assembly ( forgot the large allen wrench)... had to strap the seat and seatpost to my camelback and ride the rest of the day standing up...

Went for a 3 hour ride today and found out upon getting back home that the rear brake had been rubbing on the wheel for who knows how long.

No wonder I was going slower than usual.

'Left my emergency brake on for a good 3 miles of trail, until I noticed the smell of burnt rubber...
