Puncturing tubes.....

Hi all,

I have an 09 Trek 4300 Disc and I keep popping tubes when going on trails. It seems that thorns keep going through my tire and poking holes in the tube. I'm looking to upgrade my tire to something a little less puncture prone. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance....

what size?

you could get somthin with a freeride casing in a 2.35, i've got some michelin mtn xtremes and they are tough as anything, basically a small dh tire, heavy duty casing lots of rubber to have to punch through, but they are heavy (over 900g ea) grip is awesome

you could prolly also find somthin thats kevlar lined, but any tire with a beefy casing will help, kenda makes the nevegal in a freeride casing 2.35

This is what is on it now. I have never had to replace a tire before and I have never (even as a kid) had to replace so many tubes as I have in the past couple of weeks. I'm tired of paying $8 a tube just to puncture it every other ride.

I use Spin Skins Kevlar tire liners, they seem to work well against small thorns and goatheads.
