Triathlete/Roadie looking to get a mtn bike...
And I know "0" about mtn. bikes. I'm not looking to ride trails really, I just need something sturdy to pull my two kids in a trailer, and something that I won't worry about leaving unattended. I see really low end mtn bikes for sale in Craigslist regularly for $50 and less, which would be fine, I don't mind working on a bike from time to time. What I have no clue about is what size to look for. I'm 6'1" with longish legs (34.75" cycling inseam). I still think in terms of cm (my TT bike is 56cm, my roadie is a 60) so I don't know where to start with mtn bike sizes. I sold the Schwinn we bought from Walmart because I was just too cramped on it. Any suggestions of where to start size wise?

Thanks, I really appreciate the help. Now that I know what to look for that's a good start. Would 21" be considered a large or XL BTW, just in case I come across something sized that way?
