One reason I liked it and decided to hang around.

I think this is getting out of hand. Simply put all of this stuff means is use the search. Sub-500$ bikes for EXAMPLE are asked often (other topics as well but that is a big one). There is no need to ask again, unless there are mitigating circumstances (extra large or super little riders for example)
And PC based forums suck. I belonged to many over the years and always find them too elite for me.
ALSO one thing this forum lacks is postings of riding and rides. Its ironic that we all ride but never mention it. We never talk about the rides or what we do ourselves.

My apologies for the inconvenience. I thought moderation may want to get rid of this in a hurry.

Yes, I can say that I came to ask for first bike recs. Most here were very helpful and guided me in the right direction. The forum is a great resource. Unfortunately there are some crybabies here (you) that can't handle a legit qustion from a new biker.

That is true -- but our members being morons is not helping the situation. And abusing the report key..come on. I have better things to do on a Saturday night then see my box go. You have mail, you have mail, you have mail (I am not on AOL).

I dont see anything here worth reporting to a mod. Sorry about the inconvenience. Thought it was good fun and problem hashing but apparently some people are a little thin skinned.

Close it, it has no purpose. No legit question was asked, just some guy complaining.

Now, enough is enough. If you have a problem with another user, deal with it privately. This is a public forum and not everyone in the public needs to see whatever it is you guys are talking about.
Use the search button. It is there and it is VERY useful. No need to repeat topics. Stop flaming each other. Who cares if he's a newbie-- we were once all newbies and we all got the same lecture that I am giving now.
Grow up and act your ages. Understood?

I believe there is something in the works for a sticky. I think a good beginners ARTICLE would be awesome covering some good basics to go by...then the beginners can get there bikes and post about rides. I love hearing about other peoples experiences from different parts of north america. ...

Agreed, but as discussed you can't really stop newbie questions. You may slow them down with a separate forum (will not have helpful members/just ignored/would you need one for each bike type?) or sticky (ignored/too many stickies), but I'd say some guys should just relax and realize it's early summer and people are bike shopping.
