chainrings

My small chainring broke out riding tonight,it's a specialized steel cheapo,is it better to buy a replacement part or to buy full set of new alloy parts?

Just get an alloy, Figure if it's ramped or not.
Under $20 prob, (a buck a tooth.) Blackspire are good mtb rings.
Steel? If they are worn I'd toss the lot for weight, but it's a money shot.
You have to pull the crank I think, the other 2 will fit over the spider.
