trying to find skinny 29er tires (or wide 700c)

after going out on my cx bike today i decided to use some of the spare parts i had lying around to turn my cx bike into a 29er (or as close as I can) so went ahead and swaped the bars out and got it all set up, left all the cables and housing on the drop bars so i can switch it back over in like a half hour come winter. I'll get some pics up later

problem is I need wider tires, right now its got 700x38s but I measured my frame clearance and i coudl fit a 29x1.9 or 1.8 assuming it didnt' measure out wide. I could only find 1 skinny 9er tire, the kenda karma in a 1.9, so i have 2 questions: anyone know any other narrow 9er tires, and does anyone have the karma and wouldn't mind measuring it for me (i know rims will effect size but w/e)

It might take me a day or 2 but I can mount up a 1.9 karma and measure it for you if you are still interested

the fire comes in a 45mm i was on panaracers site and didn't see it awesome, 45mm is almost a 1.8 that'll prolly work perfect (my fork says it will take a 44mm max, but my calipers say otherwise, i'll even have a little room to spare!)

I'm pretty sure they are 1.75" or 45mm, nice and wide. I've got a brand new set i cant use, if you have a nice kevlar set of cx tires around 38mm I'd consider a trade. Shoot me a PM if intrested. Cheers

@C Law
Do you own the panaracer Fire Cross and the Kenda Karma? How do these Tire's compare to each other?
My free space at the front is 56mm wide and 57mm high and 53mm wide and 47mm high at the back.
I'm using Rigida Taurus 2000 DB rim's with an inner width of 19mm.
Is it still possible you could measure your Kenda Karma 29x1.9?

That would be much appreciated!
It's hard to get your hands on anything concerning 29er's in Europe

The Panaracer Fire Cross have a Tread width of 49.2mm, Casing width of 41.3 mm and a heigth of 37.7mm.

Another option would be the Bontrager Jones XR 29x1.8 but they have a lot of bad reviews concerning Grip.
