Making sure both sides of fork are equal

I have the Marzocchi MZ-Race fork, and I cannot figure out how to tell if each side is equal. I tried to tighten them up, and i did them evenly.
I use an alan key to adjust them, and the left adjustment looked sooo much looser then the right. i just want to know how to check if they are the same?

This isn't rocket science... tighten both sides completely and then back off an equal # of half turns.

Nope. Most forks now come with an air cartridge or rebound.....compression cartridge in only one side of the fork. You dont need them on both sides...they both go down at the same rate no matter what.
