Yokota Halfdome anybody have one? / elastomer source
Vintage MTB my brother just gave me -- Seems like a sweet frame -- Pretige tapered / ovalized tubes.
Components are vintage as well, Manitou 4 with crapped out elastomers, XT 8 speed, white brothers BB, cook brothers cranks, custom wheelset of some sort... weighs around 24#.
I found a site that sell elastomers for the fork, any experience with these guys?

No experience with the suspension parts company. That's a lot of money for elastomers to resurrect a totally outdated fork. And that fork may also have worn out bushings to boot. But, if I just HAD to have the old school, I would probably just bite the bullet and order them and be done with it. Bushings? Who knows?
Heck, I think I have a small pile of those elastomers somewhere.
You could also try First Flight Bicycles for some New Old Stock: https://www.firstflightbikes.com/
There's probably a LBS or two out there somewhere with a bag 'o them old elastomers.

With the dual linear technology you are getting a super sensitive reaction of the shocks at lower travel, and an increase in compression force with longer travel (buttoming out protection!). The springs set is designed for these older suspension forks: Answer Manitou 3, 4, EFC, Mach 5, SX, FS. They replace the original elastomers or elastomer/springs units, which are after all the years broken in most of the cases anyway. Installation is easy: Unscrew the preload assembly - take the original parts out, and replace them with the spring kit! That's it!
The springs will make the shocks rideable and super sensitive again! They last forever, and they are maintenance free. This is the version with the hard main spring for riders over 190lbs. If you need the softer version please let us know at the end of the auction. Travel is approx. 60mm
