It's called a Pugsley. Made for mud/snow riding. 3.7" Endomorph tires float over sand/snow/mud w/o sinking in.

Though I don't quite get the saddle...susceptible to moisture...contraindicating the purpose of the bike. That is, unless the OP is just using the bike with low psi to smooth out a super choppy ride. That would make sense.

I believe he was being facetious.

But it is a bit overpowering - - one giant, black supergraphic plastered over the entire frame like that.

The saddle is green. The headset's green, pedals are green, hubs were originally supposed to be green. The shop I worked at had it sitting in the back not being used and I thought it looked cool so I got it for this bike.

It actually got rained on once and did fine, I'm not a big fan of snow and being from NC we don't get a whole lot anyway. Trails close at the slightest spit of rain so the moisture issue isn't really a concern for me. I've got my other bike when the going gets wet. This bike was built purely for fun because I've always wanted one and will most likely almost never see anything but singletrack and maybe some sand at the beach.

(If I do ride it in the snow though I'll toss another saddle on it.)

It's actually just a combo of matte black and clear coated black paint. The only stickers are the Specialized (black) and the EVO (black) stickers.

It really looks a lot better in person than what the camera can capture. Quite a bit more subtle and clean looking imho.

Well then...I approve. (not that anyone cares)

Heck man...I think that's the perfect bike for some Kansas singletrack with all those "fist-to-head-sized" rocks and roots. Run low pressures and glide over all that crap. I'd love to build a Pugsley or Wildfire someday.

How hard is it to grunt that thang on some groomed trail compared to your buds?

It's really not that bad... depends on the situation though. Group rides with the usual peeps go about the same. I get a little more sore on the longer climbs but hopefully after a while I'll get used to the weight and that'll go away.

Racing (the one time I tried) hurt. First lap went pretty well... next got a little worse and the 3rd just sucked... so race pace (at least for now) is a no-go but still a blast.

33 lbs even. 9 lbs of that is in tires and tubes () so all things considered the bike's not all that heavy.

A lot of people ask how I could ride it, so I let them ride it. Then they want to ride it more.
