98 Trek 7000 ZX worth $300?

I'm looking to buy a 98 trek 7000 zx with no upgrades and the guy wants $300? Is this a good deal? Everything seems to work and bike looks cared for.

Thanks!

What do you think a fair offer would be? I want to help the guy out but I don't want to overpay.

Thanks for taking time to help me out.

That old with an old Indy fork and a boatload of STX-RC components I'd say it's more in the $200-250 tops category.

$150. to $200 max is more like it. The frame aside, everything on that bike is outdated big time.
