Ok, back on subject. Do you have any water bottle mounts on your current ride? I'll run a 70oz C'bak and one or two large water bottles for longer 3+ hour summer rides. When I was in Korea I stuffed two 70oz baldders in my C'bak Cloud Walker and a water bottle for those all day epic rides.

I wonder what the OP decided to get?

My vote is for the Osprey Talon 22. It's comparable in capacity to the HAWG, but much lighter. I've used the MULE before and I hated it. Two 29er tubes damn near filled the main pocket, forcing me to have to stuff everything else. The Talon swallows two tubes with no problem. Most people would say that much space is overkill, but really it's not. The shoulder/hip straps have an amazing amount of flex, and the whole thing is ridiculously light compared to the MULE and the HAWG... so on most rides when you aren't filling it up, you don't feel like you have too much bag on your back. Every little detail about it seems to be well-thought out. And if you ever want to get into overnighters/bike packing, it's the perfect pack for that. It runs about $100 without a bladder.

Y'know, if he converted that walker over to a 29er, he'd be able to roll over them sidewalk seams and curbs faster. Or even better - - he could supercharge the Rascal with a lithium ion pack:
