Why a 14mm axle? Is it for a BMX or an MTB?

At any rate, DT Swiss makes a 12mm x 135mm Freeride hub, you can probably use that for a 14mm drop-out without the need to use adaptors.

what frame? that's a very weird axle size. there have been a few frame makers in the past who used proprietary sizes - a frame purchase usually came with the hub that was specific to the frame.

you sure it isn't a 12mm axle? or, there are some frames floating around with 15mm rear axles as well.

thankfully, things are getting a bit more "standardized" now.

Can't you just measure your current spacing and axle and make sure of what you're looking for?

15mm is the standard for beefed up axles, so that's probably it. You probably don't need a caliper to get close enough, just measure the axle/hub hardware/dropouts and see if they're a bit larger than 14mm.
