In need of a new bike.

Hey guys. Im in the market for a new bike. Im looking for a full suspension mainly to be used to fool around on. And hopefully im going to college back in denver so ill use it for downhill and alot of free ride stuff.

Im planning on saving and my price range will be 1000-1700 dollars. I now have a very well used Specialized Hardrock Pro disc. Its literally been through hell and back. It needs new brake rotors, bads, rear derailleur is bent, and a few more things. It still rides fairly well but its time for a new one.

Im looking at

Trek Fuel Ex 6.5

Specialized FSRxc Comp
https://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/...d=40122&eid=95

Kona One20 Deluxe
https://www.konaworld.com/09_one20deluxe_u.cfm

As of now im heavily leaning towards the Trek.

All three are good bikes, see if you can test ride all three. Personally I would go with the fsr comp or the One20 deluxe.

I recently (earlier this week) test rode that Kona, 20 inch frame.

It felt good, rode smooth, and was decently spec'd. It's the one I was going to buy until they offered me a good deal on a Dawg.

if your into Kona's take a look into a Dawg, it's a slightly more buryly frame than the one20.

I can't offer any insight on the other bikes though.

Gotta say I like the Trek, but the Spec is very good value too.

If you are thinking about getting the trek step up to the 7ex that way you get EVO and ABP wich are not on the bikes bellow the 7.

The specialized is a nice bike to , the kona is about the weakest of the 3 component wise.

Yea, as i looked at it more the kona is all rock shox. Which are good, but id rather have a fox float for the rear suspension
