Should I buy this Stumpjumper?
I'm looking at a 2009 Stumpjumper FSR Expert Carbon at a local bike shop here in Canada. I've been waiting til the end of the season to pick up an 09 at a discount. I can get the bike for $2,500. MRSP is 4k+ Is this a good deal or are they not much more expensive retail? I've looked around on the Internet and can't really find any solid pricing for these bikes to compare. Also, I really love the Stumpy, but I'm wondering if it is worth spending the extra coin to go with the s-works line instead?

That's a good deal but there's always the chance that something better will come along. Last year, one of the local shops sold an '08 S-Works Stumpy for $4200 at the end of the year. Don't count on them raining from the sky at that price but they can be found if you ask.
That Expert is a good build. It has a good build spec and maybe a better fork and brakes than mine. Different carbon and alloy chain stays and seat stays. Probably not worth the price difference unless you can afford it. If that's the case then shoot for the sky. Either way you'll be riding a good bike.
