    2010 Stumpjumper.

Specialized changed the design again after only two years and added more travel to the suspension. Check out the link below.

I know it's all about marketing and making money but did the bike needed a total redesign and 140mm travel instead of 120? as an 08 Stumpy owner...I think not, imo they took the bike design back to the pre 08 models.
Oh well...I guess now I am a proud owner of limited model stumpjumper(even tho I beat the crap out of it daily)

Funny...they were dead against the rocker link...then they used it for two years saying it was the best design out there. Now it's all of the sudden inadequate. All that aside...I'd ride it! I've still got my eyes peeled for a good deal on a 2008...fantastic design.

That looks like one heck of a bike but I think I'll keep riding my '08. Maybe I've been lucky but I've never had any trouble with the rear shock. I do wish that they had never gone away from using Fox for their suspension but I've never felt cheated. I just think that switching suppliers may have been a step backwards for them.

I've got to wonder about all that travel on the front too. 140mm is a big fork. The new Enduro is now a 160mm single crown, all mountain bike. Is that where they're taking the Stumpy? I hope not.
It's better to burn out than fade away...or slip out of your pedal and face plant on the side of the road!!!

140mm isn't big if it works right. I know where your coming from though, a few years ago that was a serious amount of travel. I know speccy is scoffed at because of some of their business tactics but I've yet to jump on a Speccy bike and not have it ride nice. I'd hit it!
