what wheelset do you ride?

Maybe you have seen my thread about the bike i am building or maybe you have not but in anycase i am to the decision on the wheels. I am curious as to what wheels/tires everyone is riding on so i can make a decision about what to get for my own bike. And i think bicycle wheels are cool in general and want to see whats out there. So show them off and a price range with what type of riding they are for.

The bike is a single speed disc specific frame and fork so disc wheels is a must. 6 bolt hubs is best since i have brakes and rotors already. I am not trying to break the bank but would like something lightish. I have ridden mostly single track in the past with some rock garden and roots but nothing DH or anything also.

Just go with I9s. You'll be glad you did. I would have a set of I9s but I just paid for my daughters first semester of school..........so I ride Mavic 321D/DT Swiss hubs.

I'm diggin my Hope Pro 2 / DT EX5.1d wheelset that Universalcycles.com built me...

$500

After the 100mile'ish re-tension...I really can't complain. I'm kind of a destroyer. I come back from some rides thinking Crap, man! I'm gonna have to rebuild my freakin wheel after that dang section of roots." I don't ever true them anymore though...I've been shocked & pleased! Always straight as an arrow. I have a tiny flat spot on the rear from a biffed freeride/urban session. Other than that incident...WOW!

Oh yeah...they're on my Komodo and I ride trails.

That wheelset Ed menton is as good as anything in that price range. Lowcel used to love his American classic race wheels that could be had for around that price. I picked up a full XT set off Ebay for 500.

https://cgi.ebay.com/MAVIC-CROSS-LINK...d=p3286.c0.m14

is this more trouble that it's worth or could this be fixed for cheaper than brand new?
