Shrader valve on Manitou swinger?

I have a 2006 Manitou Swinger SPV that suffered a broken shrader valve in a crash. This is such a stupid little part that is easy to replace but I have not been able to get a new one from any LBS and Manitou/Hayes has been no help. Anybody have any idea where to find a replacement? Anybody have an old broken Swinger they would sell me the valve from?

You called Manitou at 1-800-423-0273 and they were unwilling to help you? They did not direct you to one of the six non-warranty-issue service centers listed on their web site?

I emailed them using their designated address for 'technical support on a product you already own'. No response. Nothing. I am in Canada so the non-warranty centres on the website probably do not apply. I did manage to talk to a very friendly fellow at Trident Performance Sports who are the Canadian distributor of Manitou. He told me exactly the part number I need to order (AM83-2231) so now it's just a matter of my LBS actually going ahead with the order (which has been the holdup for the last couple days).

Glad you got helped.

For the record, I usually find making the phone call and talking to the live body at the other end to be more effective than e-mails. Companies like that get bazillions of e-mails each day and any number of things from unclear subject lines to spam filters can mean your e-mail doesn't get read.

And all of those non-warranty centers are really just third-party servicers who do it for a fee; I'm sure your money is just as good as anybody else's .
