    Bandersnatch VS Karate Monkey

After having my trusty 1999 Gaint Rincon for several years of fun I have decided to part her out. I want to move into the world of 29er's. They appeal to me because I am 6' 230lbs and I look like a grown man on a 20" wheel bike. I am looking at two frame so far the Bandersnatch (vassago) and the Krate Monkey (surly). The Bander cost more and does not come with a fork (optin. plus more $). The surly is cheaper but I heard they are a pain for flats and some issues of clearence ( not to sure what they are taking about here). I will be using this as a XC/Recriational bike and maybe some 24hr stuff too. I live in Colorado so it runs the lot here for terrian. I will run a full gear xt drivetrain (stripped from Rincon ) I am looking for people who own or owned either bike to post what they love and hated about them. If you like let's make this a post your pic post to of these two beautiful frames. Thanks for your help.

I have a Jabberwocky, which has the same geo as the Bander. It's a fantastic bike. I've loved every pedal on it. Unless you already have a place in mind, when you order your Bandersnatch, consider Addictive Cycles. I ordered mine through them, and they're extremely cool guys, and the service was great.

Man this thread did not take off as well as I thought. Come on people these two frames both have cult followings from what I have seen. Help a brother out here.

Assuming you're running geared - the KM can be finicky running geared due to horizontal drops. The bander has vertical drop outs and replaceable deralleur hanger..
