that looks like a sweet deal.

Seems like a good price to me. Haven't purchased any Avid mechs for a while...mine are getting old but still work perfectly.

Those won't come with cables and levers. Some v-brake levers and compressionless housing cables and you'll be set.

Avid's don't come with cables and levers. 2008's don't come with the front and rear mounts either. 2009's do. Best bet for 2009's is Jenson @ $45.99

Your post title says 2009, but your Pricepoint link is for 2008's.

The descriptions says that they come with the adapters...

The calipers I bought last year came with them, too.

Got a pair of '09s with 500+ miles on them already... gone through a set of pads because of mud and a bent spring in one which made them wear really strangely, but they're great brakes. I would go with '09s just because they come with a full set of front and rear mounting adapters, the caliper, the rotor, the required hardware to mount everything, and a little torx allen key for the rotor bolts. Even had a couple of crashes, no rotor damage, nothing more than a scraped adjustment knob on the brakes themselves.

I have a set of the 08's on one of my bikes. I love them, they have yet to fail me. The only problem with them, and I have heard it is common with most Avid disc breaks is they tend to squeak and squeal at times. As others have stated they will not come with cables or levers, but, as long as you currently have V's and not Canti's your current levers should work fine. Also that is a very good price for those.

BB7 are great mech discs for the money...used them for two trouble-free years, until I realized I wanted less weight, more power and modulation with the Magura Marta SL.

Half the price of 2007's. Gettin' a new set for my bike -- one already there is going out, gonna try & salvage it, the other is going on the front of my next project. Figuring $90-95 shipped, but that's only a drop in the bucket to what I'm spending for both bikes' parts.
