Experience w/ Sette Carbon Frames

Hi, I'm getting into mountain biking and plan to use the bike mostly for commuting w/ occasional forays into some light off road stuff (for those who've been in Austin, mainly the Greenbelt area). My friend has suggested the best bang for my buck may be a Sette Carbon Frame. He's had multiple purchases and bikes from the online company that sells them though has not yet bought a carbon frame from them.

I'm just hoping to get some reassurance. The bike is spec'd to be really light so it'd be great for commuting. But I'm suspicious that you can really buy a carbon framed bike for so little... Perhaps I'm too cynical? Has anyone else bought these frames or bikes? Any other advice?

Thanks.

Has no one tried this bike? Or no one willing to admit to it I know it's a knock-off brand, but I'm not a real mountain biker yet anyway!

There are a few guys over at the MTBR forums that have built bikes from Sette carbon frames. Do a search over there.

I"ve never bought a Sette frame but have many Sette products and have nothing negative to say about any of them. I would buy one of their frames and I'm sure they stand behind their product.
