Tell us your jonzin' stories a.k.a. "Should've never sold that bike..."

My brother still is mad at himself that he sold his red Rock Lobster SS (even though he has two Rock Lobster race bikes at the moment and a Ti Desalvo SS). He said there was something about that bike he just loved.

Me, I wish I still had my Big Hit. T'was a beautiful bike, tons of travel and I got a screamin' deal on it at the time, new. There's just some times on the trail that I'd like to just huck it like I did with that bike. Oh well. :(

I may get another long travel FS bike eventually.

I wish I'd never gotten rid of my Domain...I'd be that much closer to a LT "fun bike". I would still have done what I did with the Komodo though...just need to get that 6x6 or 7x7 built someday.

Not exactly a sale, but an unauthorized 'borrow'. About ten years ago, my aunt took my early 1970s Raleigh and let her nephews (my cousins) borrow it for a summer while they visited. I was out the country at the time. She didn't ask, and I never saw my bike again. Just a week ago, I decided to buy a new bike, and I asked if she possibly knew the old bike's location. She had moved since then and had no idea. She did sincerely apologize though. It still annoys me because I want my bike but I was gracious to accept it.

though it was busted up, out of date, abandoned...i wish i had not busted up and abandoned my first mtb...a 1991 or 92 (canary yellow) Giant Iguana...i had super knobbies on it and a FLEXSTEM...which really made a difference (at the time). i actually wish i still had that retro dinosaur. i'd still have fun with it...

i assume it got washed away from Katrina where i left it in a shed, 3 blocks from the coast and eventual 30+ ft. surge...

Oh, BMX bikes... wow. My prized possession was my 1988 General Osborn Pro Freestyle. Those are so rare now, I really wish I had mine. My Haro Bashguard bike was also a dream, I could bashguard grind that bike for daaaaayyyyzzz.

I wish I would've bought 10 Ozone Freestyle bikes... or at least the frames. Those are very rare now.

2005 Specialized Enduro Pro - replaced with a 2008 Enduro Pro SL carbon (a creaky maintenance nightmare). Sold the SL - maybe the new enduros are more like the old ones.

I don't regret anything. I'm using my first mountain bike.
