XTR Disk Brake Question
Hello all. I am running XTR 970 disk brakes on my bike. When I am off the bike and I hit the rear brake, the bike shakes a lot when I drag it next to me. I have swapped the pads from the front to the back and that did not do the trick. I have tried braking at high speeds to try to break the pads in and that did not work.
If anyone has any suggestions, I will be happy to try. I have not bled the line, but don't want to unless I have to. Can it be a hub problem or an xtr rotor problem?

Can't really help.
Is everything tight/secure? Loose pads maybe?

Fool O' crap

Make sure all rotor bolts are tight and see if the wheel has any play at the hub.

I took the caliper off and reinstalled. It seems better now. When I ride, it seems to slide to one of the sides if I hit the rear brake hard.
The rotor has the cenerlock so that is on nice and tight.
When I have the bike on the repair stand, and I hold the rear brake down, I am able to move the wheel. It does not lock in place very well.

Sounds like you're just locking up the rear wheel- nothing to be worried about, you just don't need to hit the brakes so hard.
